Much of the structure extant shows its gothic architecture, with the heavy vaulted ceilings to support the stone floors above.

Right, the new entrance into the keep. This entrance is a modern creation as the base of the keep was used as a cistern, the entrance being about halfway up the length of the tower.

As you enter the keep you will find a small section that has not been repaired or replastered. This section (below) contains early graffiti... funny how today we consider graffiti as trash (most of it is!) but early graffite should be preserved as valuable!
